How does Easiwrap and Superstretch work?
Easiwrap, the signature product from Easiwrap International, acts
like an elastic band. As you apply Easiwrap, a slight tug on the
corners activates the film, which is designed to shrink up to 30
minutes for the most secure hand-wrapped pallet you’ve ever
seen. This expansion and contraction quality means you can wrap
it around a skid and it keeps the load secured in transit. Superstretch,
the machine-grade signature film from Easiwrap, has the same engineering
but has not been pre-stretched. Superstretch, on a pre-stretch machine,
can stretch 300 per cent and provide a force-to-load of 30 pounds
per square inch, which is almost twice that of all other conventional
stretch films.
How can a film have built-in memory?
This stretch “memory” is pre-programmed at the manufacturing
stage through a patented technique that makes it seem more like
a shrink film. With this built-in stretch, you get a level of performance
which until now you could only get by using expensive stretch-wrap
equipment. And it keeps shrinking for 30 minutes after it is applied.
How does Superstretch perform?
Superstretch: This film will stretch 35 percent more than any other
conventional film on the market today. Most conventional films are
not designed to be consistently stretched 300 percent with a 30
pounds force to load. Because of the stretch and superior strength
of this film, it performs better than 80 and 90 gauge films.
How does Easiwrap actually work on the pallet?
All pre-stretched films currently available have been stretched
beyond their working memory so they can’t offer the elastic
band effect of Easiwrap. It’s easier to wrap with Easiwrap
because you don’t have to work as hard as with regular film.
The product is designed to be an engineered palletizing film. You
can apply the fit loosely and it tightens up around the pallet like
a shrink wrap, making the load extremely secure. And Easiwrap’s
300 per cent bilateral stretch means it can conform to irregular
dimensions on a pallet.
